Ahmedabad: After the immense success of it’s unique initiative #CaptureMySun in Maharashtra, Kartnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, MYSUN, an innovative technology backed online marketplace focused on delivering end to end solutions to consumers for all their solar power needs, today announced the launch of the next leg of the campaign in Gujarat, inviting amateurs, professionals, semi-professionals and hobby photographers to participate. The event will be flagged off by a photo walk in the city of Ahmedabad on February 26, 2017. Photographers will need to shoot the sun, in all its might and glory and stand a chance to win exciting prices. The kick off photo walk will take place in Ahmedabad on February 26, 2017 from 4PM at the Sabarmati Riverfront market.
A nationwide initiative, #CaptureMySun plans to cover more than 20 cities across India and winners from each city would then compete against each other for a grand prize of cash worth Rs 50,000. The first three photo-walks were organized in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad and were met with a great response.
The #CaptureMySun initiative is spearheaded by MYSUN in collaboration with Corporates, Independent groups, Institutions and Media Houses to help build conversations around the enormous solar potential that India as a country possesses while engaging in a passion that captures people across age groups, occupations, and lifestyles. To participate, individuals are needed to register themselves on MYSUN portal www.itsmysun.com/capturemysun, participate in the walk on ground or simply upload the picture they click by geo-tagging them and submitting them on Instagram, with a caption #CaptureMySun. All entries need to be submitted within 2 weeks of the contest going live. Post the photowalk, MYSUN would be opening participation to everyone in Gujarat in order to ensure that the awareness drive touches as many people as possible.

MYSUN is collaborating with photography groups on ground in various cities across India. The photographer who captures the sun in the most creative way will qualify to win the photography contest. The Jury comprising of members of the media, the solar industry, and photography experts come together to select the best 2 pictures from the specific state and reward them. At the end of the PAN India activity, all the city winners will then compete for the best picture and a combined jury nationwide will choose the national grand winner, called the ‘Starrrrr Photographer’. MySun is inviting companies and individuals to participate in the photo-walks and is also encouraging them to organize it on their own and share pictures.
